Untapped Power of Custom Connectors: Helping Makers Take Their First Steps Beyond Low Code

Power Automate is an incredibly effective low-code platform, and for many scenarios a flow is exactly the right place to solve the problem.

But as solutions grow, makers often find themselves maintaining flows with dozens or hundreds of steps just to handle validation, transformation, branching, and other small pieces of logic that would be much easier to manage in a focused integration layer.

This session explores how a small amount of pro-code can actually simplify a solution rather than add complexity. Instead of building fragile, long-running flow logic, I will show how custom connectors can move that logic into a smaller, reusable component that fits cleanly behind a maker-friendly experience.

This is not a coding workshop and it assumes no prior C# experience. The goal is practical and confidence-building: recognising when a flow has outgrown its comfort zone, understanding how little code is often enough, and seeing how a small step beyond low code can reduce maintenance over time.
