Newcastle D365PPUG - June 2026

📅 Date: Thursday, 4 June 2026

I’m looking forward to another strong evening with the Newcastle D365 & Power Platform community.

Our June meetup brings together practical Power Platform thinking from two different angles. First, Josh Giles will dig into AI-native Power Apps code apps and what it really means to build React-based applications in this new model. Then Lynsey Winchurch and Kayleigh Duddy will tackle a challenge most of us feel but do not always talk about enough: how to build a sustainable career in Power Platform without burning out trying to keep up.

If you’re local to the North East and want useful conversations, honest insights, and a chance to spend time with people doing this work for real, this is a strong one to join.

Connect Learn Share

This meetup is aimed at people who want practical value from their community time.

Whether you work in delivery, architecture, consulting, development, or hands-on making, the sessions are designed to give you something useful to take away and apply.

Expect a relaxed evening with good conversation, community learning, and time to connect with others across the Power Platform and Dynamics 365 space.

Agenda

18:15 - Welcome, Networking, and Introductions

Come along early, meet other attendees, and settle in before the talks begin.

18:30 - Hello World, Goodbye Syntax: Vibe Coding React Apps on Power Platform

Speaker: Josh Giles

Josh will explore what AI-native Power Apps code apps actually build, how to move through the plan-data-app workflow using conversational AI, and where you still need engineering judgement around accessibility and performance.

If you’re trying to understand where code apps fit in real delivery work, this session should give you a practical view rather than a hype-led one.

19:15 - Break, Food, and Networking

Take a breather, grab some food, and carry on the conversations.

19:30 - Power Through the Overload: Building a Sustainable Career in Power Platform

Speakers: Lynsey Winchurch and Kayleigh Duddy

This session focuses on a problem many people in the community are dealing with: the constant pressure to keep up. Lynsey and Kayleigh will share practical ways to prioritise learning, manage information overload, and build a healthier, more sustainable approach to career growth in Power Platform.

20:00 onwards - Close and Drinks Social

Stick around for more conversation after the talks and spend time with the community.
